Does TextKeep read messages straight from my phone?

No. iOS doesn’t let apps read messages from other apps, so TextKeep works from what’s on your screen: screenshots, a screen recording or hands-free capture. AI then turns those images back into a conversation you can edit and export.

Which chat apps does it work with?

Any app that shows a conversation on screen, including Messages (iMessage and SMS), WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, Signal, Telegram, LINE and WeChat.

Are dates, times and names included?

Yes, whenever they’re visible in the chat. TextKeep reads date headers, message times and, in group chats, sender names. If your chat app hides a time, you can add or change it on any message before you export.

Will a court accept the export?

TextKeep gives you a clean, complete and dated record that’s easy for a lawyer or judge to read. Whether evidence is admissible is decided by the court, so ask your lawyer how to submit it. TextKeep doesn’t provide legal advice.

Are photos, voice notes and reactions exported?

TextKeep converts text and emoji. Photos, stickers, voice notes and reactions aren’t turned into text, but they stay visible in the stitched image export, which keeps the chat’s original look.

What do I need for hands-free capture?

The TextKeep shortcut, iOS Voice Control set to English, and AirPods or EarPods placed near the bottom of your iPhone. Other wireless headphones or speakers can work too. Use it in a quiet room with Do Not Disturb on.

Can I fix mistakes before exporting?

Yes. Long-press any message to edit its text, switch it between sent and received, change or remove its date and time, or delete it. AI is accurate but not perfect, so check the export before you rely on it.

What happens to my screenshots after processing?

They’re sent to our servers over an encrypted connection, processed automatically and deleted within 30 days. Your finished exports are saved on your iPhone.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose TextKeep. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
